The cost is $25 for fuel and unlimited rides (if you don’t want to do the ride pass, just throw down $5 for the bus ride and parking). Bring money for lunch and dinner as well. We’ll be back to Bethel by 9pm

Please let me know if you are going by email (th----@------.net) or text on my cell at 408-309-9975 by tomorrow morning if possible. Oh yeah, this is a great event to invite friends.

Peace, Tom

hey yall,

be sure to come out tomorrow for Bethel Youth GAME NIGHT. We will be meeting in the youth room at 5:30 on the dot. Late comers will not be welcomed (just kidding, or maybe not. guess you will just have to show up on time). Anywho, be sure to bring your favorite game and dinner/snacks (to share of course) so that all may feast. Also, as none of you are Jesus, two fish and three loaves of bread will not be accepted. (again, just kidding but please pre-cook the fish).

hope to see yall soon,

love Jeff

Hi Friends,

For the past 27 years I’ve written many articles, letters and notes to you all and have always had something in them that speaks back to me. I wish that I would have the chance to say these things directly to you first, but logistics often get in the way of what you want to do.

I unfortunately have some news that is heavy on my heart and I know will be for many of you as well. Norita and I are currently separated and are on the path where that will probably become permanent. I ask that you keep my entire family, especially Julia and Katlynn, in your prayers as we continue to listen to God’s calling in our lives. In many ways, our family and the family of Bethel are very intertwined and I am committed to move forward with an attitude of humility and grace as we all work out a new way to be.

I wanted to lift up the word “Now” to you as well. One thing that I am continually learning is to open myself up to the love and direction of God, now! I would like to challenge you to do the same. What is God saying to you today? Have you told those close to you that you love them? Have you opened yourself up to see the needs of those around you? I know for myself, my business and pride often gets in the way and I pray for us all that we can strive to be the community that God wants us to be at Bethel (Place of God), and beyond.

The reality is that we are all broken and fragile. I ask that you lift up Rita and me in your prayers and also remember that we are in many ways the same gifted and broken people today that we were one week ago, one month ago, and one year ago.

After over a quarter century of service to this community, Rita is taking a long overdue 3 month sabatical to be recharged. I am also taking time this summer to reflect and rest into the arms of Jesus. Regarding youth group stuff, I am currently putting together the summer schedule of events and look forward to journeying with you into the future. I know this is a surprise to most of you and I realize we all process things in different ways. Please know that my door, and cell phone, are always open and on.

Peace and Love, Tom

Hi Friends,

We’re kicking off the summer season with an old classic: Our night at the Drive In :-) We’ll meet at Bethel at 7:15pm and be off to Capital Drive In by 7:30pm (with a stop at the grocery store along the way). Bring $ for snacks and the movie. We usually stay for just the first feature and we’ll decide which one we’re going to on Wednesday night.

Also, for you Western States Youth Gathering fans, we’re having our last meeting the same night at 5:30pm in the air conditioned Fireside Room. You’ll get a run down on the actual event, plus find out how much money you still owe. Please try and make ti :-)

Peace, Tom

On another note, I am looking for a van or truck/suburban type of vehicle to haul luggage on this year’s tour. If you have any suggestions or questions, please contact me at th----@------.net.

Thanks a bunch! Tom

Guten Tag yo,

Tomorrow, Wednesday the 18, we will be rocking some mini golf and rewarding good scores with in n out. For those of you who do not achieve par, we will be fed trash from the McDonald’s dumpster. Bring your game face and meet in the youth room at 5:30.

Once again, sunday the 22nd is our SENIOR RECOGNITION BRUNCH. For those of you unaware, this is where all non-seniors (this means you) cook us breakfast to show us your love for us. If you are not as fond of us, come and cook your heart out anyway. Your meal can symbolize your distain for us. And for those of you wishing to remain Switzerland (neutral), your fantastic cooking abilities will symbolize neither good, nor bad. There is no excuse for not showing up at 9 am sharp in the kitchen, ready to rock some breakfast.

Wednesday the 25, we will be grabbing some sandwiches and then raiding the Biehl residence. By this I mean we will be having a rockin discussion reminiscing and talking about the future. Meet at church at 5:30.

Finally, Friday the 27th is a MANDATORY work weekend for common ground. The cost for the weekend is $25. Meet friday night at 7:15. We will be departing at 4pm the following saturday.
