Hi friends,
Come join us on Wednesday night, September 8th from 5:30pm – 9:00pm for our 2010/11 school year picnic at Shoreline. Raid your parent’s house and/or stop at your favorite sandwich shop on the way to Bethel so you’ve got something to eat and drink. We’ll head out to shoreline park eat our food, walk about and then talk about hopes and goals for the coming year. Bring some $ for an ice cream stop on the way back to Bethel. Make sure to sign up on “The Wall” to save your spot. Oh yea, bring a friend

September 1st BBQ & Brainstorming

All Sr Highers and friends are welcome to join us for this “year shaping” event. We’ll gather at Bethel at 5:30pm for on of our famous sausage BBQ’s. Then we’ll spend a couple hours reviewing the past year and talking about our youth program for this coming school year. Bring $5 for the BBQ and some money for a Yogurtland run at 8:15pm. Revive / Sr High to Malibu GP

Hey everyone! Time for another senior high/Revive event! We’ll all be trekking out to Malibu Grand Prix after church on Sunday, August 22.

Mini Golf is $7.99
Turbo Go Karts are $4 per lap but there are discounted rates for multiple laps
Grand Prix is $4 per lap but there are discounted rates for multiple laps (must be at least 16 years old with drivers license)
Bumper Boats are $6.99 for the driver, $1.99 for a passenger
Batting Cages are $2 for 15 pitches
There’s also a game room with a ton of video games and arcade games (like skee ball!!!)

Beach Bonfire Night – August 18th

Hi Sr High and College Friends,
This coming Wednesday, August 18th we’ll begin to wrap up this summer with our annual Beach Bonfire night. Meet at Bethel at 5:30pm with $5 for gas and money for Togo’s. We’ll spend some time just hanging out and then have a chance for the upper classmen college kids to share some tips they’ve learned over the past years. This is a great event to bring a friend. The grand night is finally here: Our 2010 Common Ground Video Premier. Come at 5:30pm with a dish to share (bring one of your favorites to feed at least 10 people). We’ll watch the concert video, variety show and all the crazy specials created by Chris, Linnea, Michael and others. Should be a fun night. Oh yea, we’ll be in the Fireside Room.

If you are in Sr High or College, you are invited to join us at 2nd Harvest Food Bank tonight to lend a hand to those in need. We’ll leave Bethel at 5:30pm and return around 9pm. Come wearing long pants, closed toe shoes, and shirts with sleeves in order to work and about $10 for pizza and yogurtland after. Here’s a pdf of the info you need for the River Float this coming Wednesday, July 21st. Make sure to let me know if you are going by signing up on “The Wall” in the Youth Room by tomorrow morning. We’re already at over 30 peeps and I want to make sure we’ve got room for you.

Looking for Sunday Host Families

Happy Summer Ya’ll,

We’re looking for three families to help out with outdoor worship the coming three Sundays. The involvement starts with helping set up chairs at 9:30am and then helping usher and greet worshipers. All family members and those you wish to adopt into your family are welcome. Please let Norita or I know if you are able and willing to help.

SANTA CRUZ!!!

Hey people!

Tomorrow we will be heading over the hill to Santa Cruz for a day at the beach and the Boardwalk. Meet in the youth room at 12 and expect to be back around 7pm. Cost is $27 for gas and the boardwalk or $5-10 for transportation if you just want to hang out on the beach. Dont forget your swimsuit, suncreen, a towel and money for food. If you didnt get a chance to sign up on the wall come on by anyways!
