So to get you all excited we thought it would be good to tell you all about next weeks activity a little early . We will be having a take the money and run night next wednesday November 9th. Most of you know the TV show and watched it over the summer, if you don’t you should definitely look it up  .  It will be our own Bethal version .  So you all should start working on your detective skills and start thinking of good hiding spots . This coming Wednesday the 2nd we are going to have a discussion at Bethel on the following: Would you rather? Have you ever? and unfinished sentences. Before that, however, we will go to dinner at Chacho’s Tacos, a taquería in beautiful Campbell. (please bring money) Be at the youth room at 5:30 sharp! Would you rather miss out on this awesome opportunity or have an amazing time with all your friends at church?

This wednesday (october 26th) we will be joining the fun with faith group for an Octoberfest event, get ready to party because there will be lots of yummy German food to eat. There  will be a youth assistant designed game and many other games to play. Dont forget to bring a “spooky dessert” and all you’re friends!

Tomorrow at 8:15am, the Westboro Baptist Church will  be picketing in front of Cupertino HS to express their belief that the Silicon Valley is deviating from God’s plan. In contrast to that, Bethel members will be expressing OUR belief that God loves everyone no matter what. Please join us as we attempt to share God’s unconditional love. Wear purple.

Tomorrow at 6:15pm we will be joining Fun w/ Faith for pizza dinner (please bring $5 donation) and around 7pm we will have a youth assistant-led discussion: “Tomatoes” Hope to see you there!

Next Wednesday, we will join Fun w/ Faith once again to celebrate the Octoberfest. Please bring a scary (Halloween-themed) dessert.

While Hannah and Michael are being dear cherubs and washing the windows most vigorously, let me regale you with a story of what is to come.

This Wednesday (Oct. 12th) we will be heading out to Second Harvest Food Bank in San José, California to volunteer our time and talent so that Second Harvest can provide underprivileged persons with sustenance for the week. Please meet at Bethel by 5:15 because we will leave at 5:30 sharp! Wear close-toed shoes, long pants, and working T-shirt. Also, bring money for New York Pizza by the slice! (“It’s delicious!” – Hannah Lutke) We will need a permission slip signed by your parents as well as a Volunteer Agreement  forms signed by you. Finally, if you’d like to get proof of your community service, please print out the corresponding form to be filled out. Bring them on Wednesday! Here are the forms in PDFs:

This Wednesday 10/05:

Dr. Phil, Jesus or Me. Come for a wonderfully cathartic and intellectually stimulating discussion as we tackle troubling questions in the comfort of anonymity. We’ll be eating dinner with the Fun With Faith crowd so we’ll meet at 6:15 in Torvend for food (please bring $5). We’ll begin our discussion around 7:00. Also, registration is DUE for the National Youth Gathering. If you’d like to go contact someone in charge NOW!

This Sunday 10/09:

We’ll have our regular Sunday School meeting which will be a blast! More in the Book of James. And then after worship we’ll celebrate our lovely Norita, then the whole congregation (including us youth!!) is invited on an Out and About to Capitola in the Bus of the Lord. We’ll be hanging out with Pr. Gabi, getting to know more about her as well as eating delicious Marianne’s Ice Cream. Please bring money for lunch and ice cream.

Next Wednesday 10/12:

Please join us we venture into La Cuidad of Saint Joseph (San José) to donate our valuable time to an important cause. We will be serving the Second Harvest Food Bank. Wear close-toed shoes, long sleeves, and long pants. Money for dinner on the way home. We’ll be leaving for the Food Bank at 5:30 sharp!

IT’S AT 6:15!!

Dear youth group  goers

This Wednesday will be the first session of the church wide Fun With Faith Activity Night. There will be dinner for everyone and classes and activities for all ages. The senior high youth group will be having a meeting about 2012′s New Orleans Youth Gathering. If your interested in going, this Wednesday is your night! All the details will be provided, including costs and fundraisers, etc. Hope to see EVERYONES bright and shinning faces!!
