This Monday, (4/30) we will be having our Common Ground Picture!! So DO NOT BE LATE! The picture will be taken at precisely 7:15. Wear something cute! Don’t forget!! Also, if your acting in dramas, don’t forget to come at 6 o’clock sharp for our drama rehearsal!

Then, on Wednesday, we will be making Mexican food for Fun With Faith, and we need all the help we can get, so come cocinar con nosotros!

Saturday and Sunday are gonna be big. We have a big weekend ahead of us. Our annual Common Ground CAR WASH is this Saturday from 9am-2pm. This is a huge fundraiser for us so make sure to come and earn money for our trip!!

Sunday will be our Love Won celebration with our final Love Wins discussion (on the book challenging ideas of Heaven and Hell by Rob Bell) so come by for breakfast and an enlightening discussion.

Hello All!

This upcoming Wednesday we will be taking part in Fun With Faith. We will be leading the kids program for the evening and it’s going to be a blast. Everyone should be here at 615 to enjoy a lovely meal and be ready to hep out with the adorable little bethelites

This Sunday, we will continue exploring the novel Love Wins with Mike Lorenzen to help guide us. It’s a really thought provoking book and last week we got some great discussions out of it, so come come come for more!

ALSO, the ski week/hike in the snow trip is coming up. There will be sign up sheets at Common Ground practices and in the youth room Wednesday nights. If you have any questions about details, contact one of the youth assitants !

This coming Wednesday (1/25) the youth group will be heading over to Tom’s beautiful new house to have a discussion on appearances (last time we discussed at Tom’s house we talked about foundations – it’s all very symbolic) Come join us! Especially if you missed out on our house discussion last time! We’ll meet at 5:30 on wednesday in the youth room and carpool over to Tom’s house (via Molly, Chris, Marianne and other adult type people). Then we’ll have a dinner consisting of Panda Meat and finally get started on our discussion. Don’t miss it!

Dear Friends,

This upcoming Wednesday it will be our turn to cook for Fun With Faith! (yayyyy). Please arrive at 5:30 to help cook a lovely brinner dinner. (brinner= breakfast for dinner :], including papas a la Molly, blueberry & chocolate chip panqueques a la personas hermosas(lovely youth assistants), juevos de Tomas, meat of mystery ( also known as egasuas)). Following this lovely meal, we will be having a discussion about our upcoming National Youth Gathering in New Orleans. Please bring a parental to get some information .

Then Sunday 1/22, join us at 9 oclock for worship. After worship we will be a part of Socks and Sandwiches. We will be making lunches and serving them to the homeless in San Jose in Saint James Park. We will be done around noon. Also, starting this Sunday we will begin sign ups for Superbowl Pizzas. Everyone should get one because who doesn’t love the epic combination of pizza and football?! The proceeds will help support the winter retreat.

the FOLLOWing Wednesday, 1/25 we shall be venturing to la casa de Tom for dinner and discussion. Should be good. There will be chairs.

COMMON GROUND IS STARTING SOON . This is going to be a year you won’t want to miss. The lovely Katlynn Hoegel will be taking over the music aspect of this tour. It’s going to be good! Also, anyone and everyone should bring people . The more the merrier. OUR THEME IS NOW. It’s going to be a great idea to explore and find ways to apply it to our lives and our upcoming show.

COMMON GROUND!

Dear youth group,

It’s that time of year again. Common ground is comin round! And we are filled with cheer. This Wednesday we will be talking about Common Ground 2012. If you were in it last year, wanna join it this year, or have absolutely no idea what Common Ground even is, COME, join us at 530 for a yummy meal at iHop, followed by a collaborative discussion about this upcoming tour. Since you will be the youth participating in this program, we want you to be as involved as possible! We want to hear EVERYONES input. This is also an excellent chance to bring your friends; the more the merrier!

Sunday 1/15 we will be venturing to Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco, followed by lunch in downtown. Please arrive at 9 AM, and try to notify one of the youth assistants if you plan to attend. Even if you don’t, you can still come we won’t shun you.

Dinner’s at 6:30 tomorrow everyone!!

This coming Wednesday the fourth (tomorrow) we will have a dinner and discussion at Bethel at 5:30. We’ll be talking about this wonderful, brand new year God has so graciously blessed us with! So come prepared (with $5) to eat pie (along with other eatables) and to have a fantastic discussion kicking off this exciting new year

Greetings hooligans!
This Wednesday we will be meeting with Fun with Faith and having dinner with them. Arrive at 615 and bring $5 donation. Following the dinner, we will be having our own little Christmas party in the youth room. We will be wrapping our presents for the children we’re sponsoring. So if you took a tag with a childs wish list bring the present Wednesday. They all have to be in! If you want you can bring a snack to share, otherwise there will be cookies to decorate and Christmas movies to watch .
This Sunday we will be finishing our 95 theses discussion. That same night at 630, Bethel will be taking propel over to the Bethlem show in Santa Clara. If you want to come please contact one of the youth assistants and we will make room to get you there. It’s supposed to be really cool and have animals and what not so you should go!

Hello Friends!

This upcoming Wednesday we will be attending Thanksgiving service and pie celebration. This is an event for everyone in the congregation, not just current high schoolers! Meet in the youth room at 645 and we will all go over to church together at 7. Next Wednesday, we will be off to visit Tom’s new casa. Bring $5 for dinner and meet at 530. Its going to be a splendid time.

Also, we will be having a Christmas for children fundraiser. We were given names of children from families who need a little extract help making their Christmas special. If you are interested in purchasing a toy for a child, please contact Tom or one of the youth assistants.

Also Also, if you are interested in helping out with the children’s mini Christmas program on Sunday, December 18th, Amanda would love to have some high schoolers help out. Contact Amanda or Tyler if you are interested!

REMINDER!!: Friday, December 2 is the Citizens with the Saints concert tour. Come see Agape and Rachel Kurtz! Concert starts at 7. We will be in touch with more exact times soon so keep your eyes open for updates.

Hello Fellow Youth of 2011,

This up coming Wednesday we will be venturing to Red Robin for some grub (yummm). Meet at 530 in the youth room with$20 for the meal. ATTENTION ALL WINNERS FROM OUR TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN GAME! Wednesday will be your night to be treated to a free dessert in honor of your success last week. So make sure your there. Following dinner, we will come back and have a discussion on all of life’s gifts we are thankful for. Its gonna be a great night so don’t miss out.

SAVE THE DATE: December 2nd, is the Citizens with the Saints tour, with Agape and Rachel Kurtz. More info to come with times and costs

OPPORTUNITIES: We have some adults in of congregation and part of the school who are interested in baby sitters, and rent-a-kid for chores such as raking leaves. Rent-a-kid is an opportunity for youth to earn money towards our big Senior High trips such as New Orleans Youth Gathering and Common Ground. Please contact me, (the one, the only Megan) if you are interested in either of these activities!
