Hello everyone, Julia here this Wednesday, March 4th, we are going to be going to Popeyes for dinner at 5:30 and you should bring about $10. After our delicious dinner we are meeting in the youth room at 7:15 for a discussion for all teens who are planning on attending the National Youth Gathering this summer. We will be talking about the gathering and all the background info that you could possibly want to know! It should be exhilarating! Hope to see you all there

Hi Friends,

Greetings from Houston, Texas.  My friend Tim and I are completing our 12 day journey to New Orleans for the Youthworker Extravaganza.  It was also a great opportunity to check out the city before our visit this summer.  This coming Wednesday night, you’ll get a chance to find out more about this enticing city as well as the gathering itself.  Even if you’re not planning on attending the Gathering, this will still be a night that will be informative and engaging.  This evening will be lead by Molly Schrey, Marianne Nadell, and Rich Teed (should be fun).

Here’s the info sheet for the 2009 New Orleans Gathering.  I’m heading to Chicago tomorrow to continue planning this event.  Currently, there are over 34,000 youth and adults registered and 20 of them are from Bethel.  Please read the info packet.  I know the $’s seem a lot, but this event WILL transform you.  We’ll be asking for monthly installments and will also have some fund raising opportunities for you.

Hello Bethel Family for all of you interested in the awesomeness that will be the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans, Louisiana the last day to sign up is this Sunday the 26th a deposit of 100$ will be required to hold your spot.  For any of you who attended the Western States Youth Gathering with all of the 1,000 other teens this will be similar but with already about 35,000 teens signed up it will be a bit bigger! We hope to see you all there if you can go!

Hi Friends,

For those of you who journeyed with me on Common Ground, thanks for blessing my year and for Daring me to MOVE!  Here are a couple of things for you:

This Wednesday, June 25th we’re having a Western States Youth Gathering meeting for all those attending in Anaheim next month.  Meet at Bethel at 6pm.

Then at 7:15pm, we’ll head off to Capitol Drive-In for our annual outdoor movie night.  Remember to invite incoming 9th graders as well.  We’ll stay for one movie for sure and possibly some might stay for two (we’ll decide that night). If you bring $20, you should have plenty for the admission and snacks.  The drive-in is always a good place for you to bring you own.

The Western States Youth Gathering promo video that was shown last night at Common Ground (starring our very own Robert Rodine and David Schrey) is up online now. It’s on both GodTube and YouTube, along with the longer promo video which shows more of what actually goes on at the gathering. Please share them wherever you feel it’s appropriate – we’re hoping the videos will help generate excitement about the gathering so we can have as many attendees as possible.
