Hi Friends,

All Jr & Sr High students & parents are invited to our 2011 Spring Info & Spaghetti night: SIS! Come join us on Wednesday, February 9th at 6:30pm for some good grub, a chance to learn a bit about each other, as well as what Bethel’s got going on for our Jr & Sr High peeps these coming months.

We’ll meet in Torvend Hall for a pasta feast and then talk about the programs for JR High, SR High youth and even something for the parental types. Support our service in New Orleans

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

This is a link for how the church members can assist with our youth’s efforts in New Orleans this July.  Our service area is housing, so we are hoping to  support the ELCA National Youth Gathering’s efforts in housing by setting a goal of 25 units of each of the two areas, either TOOLS or HOUSEHOLD MAINTENANCE.   Church families can go to this link and purchase 1 or more units of either the tools ($20 per unit) or Household Maintenance ($10 per unit).  Our goal is 25 units each for a total of 50 units.  The “purchase” of these items will defray the cost to the national youth gathering for rebuilding New Orleans

New Orleans Gathering Meeting – June 24th

Friday, June 19th, 2009

Hi Friends,

Its hard to believe that as we’re finishing up our Common Ground Tour, we’re needing to put the final touches on our prep for the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans.  One significant piece in this prep is our Youth and Parent Info meeting this coming Wednesday, June 24th at 5:30pm at Bethel.  Come join us before our annual Drive In Movie outing (7:15pm) to get the details of our trip.  I will have financial totals for you next Sunday, June 28th.

See ya soon,  Tom

New Orleans comes to Sr High Fellowship

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

Hi Friends,

Greetings from Houston, Texas.  My friend Tim and I are completing our 12 day journey to New Orleans for the Youthworker Extravaganza.  It was also a great opportunity to check out the city before our visit this summer.  This coming Wednesday night, you’ll get a chance to find out more about this enticing city as well as the gathering itself.  Even if you’re not planning on attending the Gathering, this will still be a night that will be informative and engaging.  This evening will be lead by Molly Schrey, Marianne Nadell, and Rich Teed (should be fun).

Peace, Tom

Here’s the scoop:

New Orleans Gathering Meeting January 4th

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009
Hi Friends,

Thanks to those of you who already responded to my email about helping out on the March 14th Fundraiser dinner.  I’m currently writing the donation solicitation letter and thanks to Tracey for agreeing to help me get it out.  They’ll be in the mail this Monday.
Since we’re starting up Sunday School again on the 11th, I thought it might be handy to meet tomorrow, January 4th at 9:30am, to talk about the Gathering.  We’ll get together in the Fireside Room and talk about info on the event, plus divide up task for the March 14th event.  I know it is short notice, but this opening kind of fell in our lap and there’s no time like the present to get going.
I hope to see you there.
Peace, Tom Hoegel
