Tyler’s Emcee Application

Saturday, December 24th, 2011

Hi guys,

First of all, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Secondly, I just wanted to let you all know that, sadly, I was not selected to be an emcee at the National Youth Gathering. I was disappointed but they sent me a very nice e-mail which convinced me that they truly spent time reviewing my application which made me feel a lot better. The e-mail is below:

Dear Tyler,

On behalf of the ELCA, the Youth Gathering, and the Dome Creative Team I want to thank you for your emcee application. The effort you put into your audition video was evident and you did just what we asked: to live your faith out loud.

After prayerful consideration we will not be able to use your gifts on the main stage. There are many factors that went into this decision. Your application was very good and the gag with your youth group was hilarious. Unfortunately, we cannot use every qualified applicant.

Again, thank you for your willingness to serve the church and I pray blessings on your Christmas and new year.

Peace,

Rev. Steve Jerbi
ELCA Youth Gathering
Dome Creative Team Assistant
Thank you for your support with  my application and I look forward to seeing you all soon! Once again, have a merry Christmas!
Peace and blessings,
Tyler
P.S. I’m still looking forward to the National Youth Gathering :D
