Also, on Wednesday meet at Bethel at 5:30 for a Dr. Pho, Jesus, and Me discussion. We’ll depart from the Bethel Youth Room at 5:30 on Wednesday to head out to eat Pho (Vietnamese Food) and then return to Bethel around 7:00 for an open-ended discussion where we consider society’s, Jesus’s, and our own points of view on a variety of subjects.

Then, on Saturday, the 10th, Bethel will be having a fundraiser to support participants in the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans this July. The fundraiser will take place at Sonoma Chicken Coop at 5:30 and will consist of dinner and a live auction. If you’d like to support attendees to the Gathering and purchase a ticket for this dinner, let one of the youth assistants know! Tickets are $30. And if you’d like to buy raffle tickets for the numerous gift baskets we will be raffling off, let one of us know as well and we can hook you up!

If you’re participating in the Gathering, make sure to be at the Sonoma Chicken Coop at 3:00 to help set up

Then on Sunday, the 11th, we’ll be having Sunday School in the Bethel Youth Room at 9:15 led by either Mike or Molly or both. We’ll be discussing Rob Bell’s book, Love Wins, a book about Heaven and Hell.

Hey Common Grounders

Tomorrow ,Monday the 5th,  is a special day its Common Ground Parent Night so make sure to bring one or both of your parents with you tomorrow at 7:15.  The parents will get to learn all about Common Ground and what we have and will be doing . We always love to see new faces, so bring your friends ! Can’t wait to see you all tomorrow !

Hey everybody!

This Friday, March 2nd,  is the kick off retreat for common ground . It would be great to see all the Common Grounders there and we always love to see new faces . We will be meeting at 7:15 at Bethel . Bring $35 to cover the costs of the weekend  and bring an extra $10 for  buying snacks. You will also need a sleeping bag, change of clothes , and toiletries.We will be there for a little while working on a video for the show then we will head out on an adventure and will stay at a church in Fremont for the night . On Saturday,  our whole group will get to go see a fellow Common Grounder, Bailey,  in a production of Alice in Wonderland along with lots of other Common Ground fun.  This will all wrap up at 4 on Saturday . We would love to see you all there .  If you have any questions ask Tom or one of the youth assistants.

Remember that Common Ground will be singing in the late service on Sunday so you all need to be there at 9 on Sunday morning .

Hello All!

This upcoming Wednesday we will be taking part in Fun With Faith. We will be leading the kids program for the evening and it’s going to be a blast. Everyone should be here at 615 to enjoy a lovely meal and be ready to hep out with the adorable little bethelites

This Sunday, we will continue exploring the novel Love Wins with Mike Lorenzen to help guide us. It’s a really thought provoking book and last week we got some great discussions out of it, so come come come for more!

ALSO, the ski week/hike in the snow trip is coming up. There will be sign up sheets at Common Ground practices and in the youth room Wednesday nights. If you have any questions about details, contact one of the youth assitants !

This coming Wednesday (1/25) the youth group will be heading over to Tom’s beautiful new house to have a discussion on appearances (last time we discussed at Tom’s house we talked about foundations – it’s all very symbolic) Come join us! Especially if you missed out on our house discussion last time! We’ll meet at 5:30 on wednesday in the youth room and carpool over to Tom’s house (via Molly, Chris, Marianne and other adult type people). Then we’ll have a dinner consisting of Panda Meat and finally get started on our discussion. Don’t miss it!

Dear Friends,

This upcoming Wednesday it will be our turn to cook for Fun With Faith! (yayyyy). Please arrive at 5:30 to help cook a lovely brinner dinner. (brinner= breakfast for dinner :], including papas a la Molly, blueberry & chocolate chip panqueques a la personas hermosas(lovely youth assistants), juevos de Tomas, meat of mystery ( also known as egasuas)). Following this lovely meal, we will be having a discussion about our upcoming National Youth Gathering in New Orleans. Please bring a parental to get some information .

Then Sunday 1/22, join us at 9 oclock for worship. After worship we will be a part of Socks and Sandwiches. We will be making lunches and serving them to the homeless in San Jose in Saint James Park. We will be done around noon. Also, starting this Sunday we will begin sign ups for Superbowl Pizzas. Everyone should get one because who doesn’t love the epic combination of pizza and football?! The proceeds will help support the winter retreat.

the FOLLOWing Wednesday, 1/25 we shall be venturing to la casa de Tom for dinner and discussion. Should be good. There will be chairs.

COMMON GROUND IS STARTING SOON . This is going to be a year you won’t want to miss. The lovely Katlynn Hoegel will be taking over the music aspect of this tour. It’s going to be good! Also, anyone and everyone should bring people . The more the merrier. OUR THEME IS NOW. It’s going to be a great idea to explore and find ways to apply it to our lives and our upcoming show.
