Come join us on Wednesday night, September 8th from 5:30pm – 9:00pm for our 2010/11 school year picnic at Shoreline. Raid your parent’s house and/or stop at your favorite sandwich shop on the way to Bethel so you’ve got something to eat and drink. We’ll head out to shoreline park eat our food, walk about and then talk about hopes and goals for the coming year. Bring some $ for an ice cream stop on the way back to Bethel. Hey everyone! Time for another senior high/Revive event! We’ll all be trekking out to Malibu Grand Prix after church on Sunday, August 22.

Mini Golf is $7.99
Turbo Go Karts are $4 per lap but there are discounted rates for multiple laps
Grand Prix is $4 per lap but there are discounted rates for multiple laps (must be at least 16 years old with drivers license)
Bumper Boats are $6.99 for the driver, $1.99 for a passenger
Batting Cages are $2 for 15 pitches
There’s also a game room with a ton of video games and arcade games (like skee ball!!!)

This coming Wednesday, August 18th we’ll begin to wrap up this summer with our annual Beach Bonfire night. Meet at Bethel at 5:30pm with $5 for gas and money for Togo’s. We’ll spend some time just hanging out and then have a chance for the upper classmen college kids to share some tips they’ve learned over the past years. This is a great event to bring a friend. The grand night is finally here: Our 2010 Common Ground Video Premier. Come at 5:30pm with a dish to share (bring one of your favorites to feed at least 10 people). We’ll watch the concert video, variety show and all the crazy specials created by Chris, Linnea, Michael and others. Should be a fun night. Oh yea, we’ll be in the Fireside Room.

Happy Summer Ya’ll,

We’re looking for three families to help out with outdoor worship the coming three Sundays. The involvement starts with helping set up chairs at 9:30am and then helping usher and greet worshipers. All family members and those you wish to adopt into your family are welcome. Please let Norita or I know if you are able and willing to help.

Happy Summer Friends,

We were having some web issues so I apologize that the summer events did not show up on the calendar until just a short time ago. Just a little reminder that we’re off to the Boardwalk this coming Wednesday at noon and you need to RSVP to me or sign up on “The Wall” by tomorrow to save your spot. (check the event details or Kristen’s update for specifics).

Next week is the River Float and the following week is The Houseboating Trip. All Sr High youth are invited to join our youth group and two other’s from Southern California as we spend an action filled week together. We’ll start out Saturday night, July 24th with a BBQ at Bethel, spend the night at church, worship outside in the morning, and then head to Lake Don Pedro for 5 days of houseboating, wake boarding, fishing, eating, studying, hanging out FUN! The trip will conclude Friday afternoon, July 30th. The total cost for the trip is $350 and the money is due by Wednesday, July 21st. Signed up as of right now is Michael Schrey, Alex Nadell, Jonathan Stolan, Rachel Gaardsmoe, Emma Rothwein, Trevor Leimer, Andrew Barton, Jessica Cohan, Luke Ferguson, Kevin Biehl, and Lindsay & Kristen Bryson. There is only room available for alternates as of right now.
